I think there's still a rampant misconception that spiritual work should provide answers from outside/other. But even Jesus taught that all of our answers are within.

Agree, and if you read my readings, they are not for the faint of heart. I cannot do the feel-good nonsense. That helps no one. The problem is, Tarot has gone mainstream, and it's time to bring it back to its roots. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you so much for being real. We need so much more of that.

I just drafted an article on this same theme this morning. Not about tarot, but definitely about fragility. I’m not sure why people think energetic and esoteric work should be comforting. My training and all my yearly renewal exams require what I jokingly (but accurately) call spiritual jujitsu. I’ve must be in good shape to handle whatever comes up with my clients.

Thanks for sharing that. I think because of the rogue practitioners out there is why so many people think it’s comforting.

This is so true and you can tell by the way people tend to ask their questions now a days! If you want straightforward, read lenormand. If you want comfort, get affirmation cards. Don't get upset that tarot answered the questions that you didn't want answered.

Thank you and well said! The best thing is to get the answers you need, not what you want to hear.

Great article. And even though the truth from the cards sting at times, I still find the cards loving with their message 🥰
